Our Story
Goodwin's Peak is a private campsite perched in the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside Sparta, NC — the heart of Alleghany County. One perfect spot, tucked away from the world, with sweeping valley views and our 2024 Kodiak SE camper set up and ready for your arrival.
Sparta sits at the center of 32 scenic miles of Blue Ridge Parkway — more Parkway miles than any other county in America. Stone Mountain State Park, the New River, and Doughton Park are all within easy reach. Cool summers, jaw-dropping fall color, and some of the darkest, starriest skies on the East Coast.
Check AvailabilityHumble Beginnings
When we first purchased this property, it was nothing but wild meadows, goldenrod, and untamed woods — with Blue Ridge views peeking through the trees. We carved out every inch by hand, built the drive, cleared the site, and set up something we're truly proud of. This is where it started.

October 2022 — the property before clearing. The same ridge. The same views. A lot of work ahead.
